This 2015 predicted El Nino could bring a lot of rain to Santa Cruz County and the rest of State. The last big El Nino was in 1997 and '98 and dumped more than twice the annual rainfall throughout California. While we definitely need the rain, the problem is with infrastructure. You've been hearing about how the water systems in the West aren't built to handle this crippling drought. Well, they're not really built to handle a drenching El Nino either. Most gutter systems are able to divert water when clean of debris and under normal circumstances. Add El Nino storms with torrential rains and clogged gutters can result in serious flood damage. When gutters and downspouts get clogged, water begins to back up on the roof and can cause roof damage. Simultaneously, water overflows gutters and can damage fascia, siding, windows and worse yet the very foundation of your home. Pure Light Window & Gutter Cleaning Service, has been professionally cleaning roofs, gutters and downspouts for 16 years. Our service areas include Santa Cruz, Soquel, Aptos, Corralitos, Watsonville, Scotts Valley, Mt Hermon, Ben Lomond, Brookdale and Boulder Creek. With the Fall season on the horizon, we are also preparing for gutter cleaning. Thankfully the El Nino is predicted to bring a mild winter for the Midwest.
